We seem to work a lot with Not for Profits, as well as financial services. It’s a good complement and keeps us balanced and grounded. The skills and rigor are transferable, here’s some of the work we have delivered.

Augmented Reality App to Make the Homeless Visible

Homelessness is on the rise. The homeless are ‘invisible’ to many. We need to raise awareness and engage supporters in the work of the Big Issue Foundation.

In the lives of homeless people, the moment they become a Big Issue Vendor is the moment they begin to turn their lives around. It is a huge step forward and is something that should be celebrated. I decided to create a campaign with added PR value to give it more reach,  subverting that bastion of the establishment, blue plaques. Ordinarily these celebrate heroes of our society but now will; elevate the herculean efforts individuals make to bring their lives back on track.

A digital solution to engage people with the people behind the stories. We spoke to Blippar and got them to donate their platform for free too, they were happy to do so and we created an augmented reality app. Viewers scan the plaques – one for different people featured on the app and you could then view the stories from the website. Also via the app they can vote on if whether they think homelessness is a big issue, and share a photo of themselves wearing the (virtual) Big Issue Tabbard to show support and empathy.

Campaigns and testing to improve ROI

Most charities follow the need/solution template. It works. But when everyone does it, every time, it tends to work less well for all of them. Sightsavers recognise this, which is why they constantly test new approaches and propositions for their acquisition mail packs and inserts.

This is one of our test creatives for press inserts. It tells the potential supporter that though they will never meet the person their donation will help, that person will never forget what they have done.

It was one of a number of concepts we created for Sightsavers.  The concept was developed into a mail pack that went on to beat its target. In the film to the left you will also see the Christmas donor mailing we created for Sightsavers –  it stands as their best performing Christmas campaign and has been run a few years now here and overseas and with a 10% response and 29:1 ROI in top segments it beat all income targets.

Child Sponsorship social media engagement

A psych. test to see if you are the sort of person who might sponsor a child, and importantly, would do so with SOS Children’s villages. It’s about intellectually and emotionally engaging with their approach. as you answer the questions, the village gets filled with children.

We are called Daisy because of the way we are structured.
We do the strategy and creative. Then we build a bespoke project team using our network to deliver our creative vision. Think of it as a ‘Daisy Chain’ of skills with on-demand expert project managers, strategic planners, data, tech and production partners ready as and when needed.
It’s more agile, more flexible and a more cost effective way to deliver.
